William "Bill" Ray Barger, son of William Nelson Barger and Alice Annette (Fletchall) Jones, was born on February 11, 1960 in Leavenworth, Kansas. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his apartment in Shenandoah at the age of 56 years, 9 months and 15 days.

His early years were spent growing up in Leavenworth, Kansas until the family moved to Shenandoah in 1965. Bill attended the Shenandoah School System but left school to begin working as a young man and through the years Bill worked at several Shenandoah industries, including Farmaster, Imperial Chemical Company, Shenandoah Printing Company and the A-1 Muffler Shop. At the time of his death he was employed with Gene Lundgren Trucking of Shenandoah.

Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, and the great outdoors. He enjoyed music, especially the Tommy James Band and Tina Turner. Bill was a great cook and whenever possible enjoyed making his famous homemade pizza for family and friends. Although he enjoyed cooking once in a while, he enjoyed and loved his mom's Taco's most of all.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Alice Annette Jones of Shenandoah, brother, Martin Keith Barger of Omaha, NE, uncle Donald Fletchall and wife Sharon of Grant City, MO, step-sons, John Jackson of Elkhorn, NE, Steve Jackson of Perry, IA, Earl Edds of Glenwood, IA and Terry Edds of Farragut, IA, other relatives and many friends.

Celebration of life memorial service will be held 10:30 am, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Shenandoah.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
