When he was not farming, he helped his friends out with their farms, as well as working full-time. He worked at Bailey Oil in Hamburg, Eaton Manufacturing in Shenandoah, the alcohol plant in Hamburg, then in 1996 he drove part time for the Iowa D.O.T highway division in Sidney as a snowplow driver. A year later he was hired full time. He loved his job and took pride in his work. He was preparing for retirement after 27 years.
On December 19, 1992 Bill was united in marriage to Angie Resh. They raised their family of two children, Christan Lee and Jacob William on a farm south of Farragut for 11 years before moving to Farragut in 2003. Bill absolutely enjoyed in life!
