Sherry Lynn Monson was born on July 31, 1974 in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Daryl and Carmen (Ebersole) Monson.  Sherry entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2022 at her home in Shenandoah.

Sherry grew up in the community of Essex.  She graduated from Essex High School with the Class of 1992.  She was unite in marriage to Billy Baylor and to this union, one daughter Aisha was born.  The couple later divorced.  Sherry later found happiness with Bob Hafelfinger.  The couple then resided in Clarinda, until Bob's passing on November 7, 2015.  She then moved to Shenandoah and resided at Forest Park Manor.

Sherry had worked at several part-time jobs over the years, but the one she enjoyed the most was working at Dollar General.  Some of her hobbies included listening to 70's music, fishing, visiting with friends, collecting angel figurines and playing with animals.  One thing she enjoyed more than anything else was being a grandma to her granddaughter McKenzie.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob; father Daryl, grandfathers Ted and Hoppy; uncles Dick and Carl; aunt Sue; grandmothers Marge and Mary; and cousin Molly.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Aisha; granddaughter McKenzie; mother Carmen (Tim); sister Carrie and her children Caydee and Miranda, sister Christine (Adrian) and their children Christian and Diego, and brother Trevor (Breanna) and their children Adelaide and Oliver; step-siblings Heather and Jeremy; other relatives and friends.
