Obituary

Sharon Marie (Cameron) Wilson was born on January 30, 1945 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Alva and Midget Cameron. Sharon entered into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, surrounded by her loving and supportive family.
Sharon's early years were spent in the community of Storm Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Storm Lake High School with the Class of 1963. On September 19, 1967 she was united in marriage to Robert Wilson in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple lived in the communities of Eugene, OR, Atlantic, IA, and Grinnell, IA before settling in Shenandoah in 1973.
While living in Shenandoah, Sharon was employed by the Shenandoah School System and later owned Countryside Floral Shop. She was also a partner with her husband in Wilson Insurance Company for over 30 years. Sharon enjoyed working with the public and cherished the many friendships that she made over the years.
Sharon was an active member of the Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and deacon. She also belonged to the Shenandoah Hospital Auxiliary, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was on the Tannenbaum Tea Committee. She was always willing to help out those in need. Her spirit of giving, touched the hearts of many people less fortunate than her.
Some of her passions included traveling, golfing, gardening and tending to their home in Florida. Above all other things, caring for her family was of utmost importance to her. She was a loving, loyal, and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her zest for life will always be remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father-in-law.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 44 years, Bob Wilson; daughter, Stephanie Johnson; son, Jeff Wilson; grandchildren, Ali, Mitchell and Andrew; brothers, Dennis Cameron and wife Vicki, Wayne Cameron and wife Sandy, and Randy Docken; sister, Pat Mackey and husband Gary; special friends, J.C. and Mary Irvin, John and Diane Kidd, Bill and Jan Billings, Tom and Sue Hanna, Gary and Mary Birdsell, Jim and Nancy Hawke, Sam and Judy Welch, Jim and E.Vee Myrberg and Roberta Overholzer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
