Seger V.
Mace
Aug 4, 2005 — Sep 3, 2023
Coin
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Seger Vaughn Mace was born on August 4, 2005 at Children's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska to Michelle Turnbull and Preston Mace. Being born three months early, Seger and his twin sister were known as miracle babies by the doctors and their family. Seger left this world for his heavenly home on Sunday evening, September 3, 2023 from injuries he received from a motorcycle accident. His beautiful smile, laugh and all of the great memories we hold in our hearts will forever keep his memory alive.
Seger's life was spent in the community of Coin. He attended school at South Page Community Schools until his junior year. He then transferred to Clarinda High School, where he was currently enrolled and enjoying his Senior year. The memories he made and the friendships he shared brought him much joy.
Seger loved to tinker with different projects and was an avid collector of stuff! He enjoyed metal detecting and was delighted when he found a Civil War belt buckle and other various coins. He also enjoyed attending garage sales and flea markets, working on computers, mechanics and helping out on the Turnbull farm. He was involved in the production of the school yearbook and enjoyed being the photographer.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Sherry Turnbull and Loraine Mace; great-grandfather Thomas Turnbull; and uncle Bob Turnbull. Those left to treasure his memory include his parents Michelle Turnbull and fiancé Nic Thompson and Robbie (Jennie) Mace; his twin sister Joslyn Mace; brother Miles Mace; half siblings Ethan Mace, Drake (Bailey) Strickler and Lindie Strickler; grandparents Glenn Turnbull, Alan and Valerie Eberspacher, Leo Mace and David and Janice Haning; great-grandmother or grape-grandmother as Seger would call her, Wilma Turnbull; uncles Josh Turnbull and his daughter Adeline and Travis Mace; aunt Jill Vanee McDonnell; other relatives and dear friends.
