Sharon passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at the Shenandoah Medical Center.  Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wabash Memorial Chapel.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Thursday.    Memorials may be directed to the family.

Ruby Sharon Knight was born on October 6, 1950 in Acworth, Georgia, the daughter of Dennis Corbin and Ruby Louise (Stinnett) Knight, Sr.  Sharon entered into eternal peace on Sunday, July 20, 2025 in Shenandoah, Iowa surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon's early years were spent in the state of Oregon.  She graduated from McNary High School and later went on to attend Chemeketa Community College for a short time.  In June of 1974 she was united in marriage to Steven Garrett, they later divorced.  On February 14, 1983 she was united in marriage to Joseph Culley in Salem, Oregon.

Sharon was no stranger to hard work!  She took on many jobs over the years to help provide for her family.  Some of those jobs included bookkeeping and working for the Oregon Turkey Growers.  Her last position was with West Central Community Action where she continued to serve others with dedication and passion.  She also had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ, which was evident in the way she lived and loved.

Some of her hobbies included playing the piano, watching her family participate in various activities such as tennis, school plays, gymnastics and basketball. She loved her family so much, and it was such a blessing that they cared for her up until the time that God called her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis Knight and Ruby Richards; grandparents John and Mable Stinnett and John and Eva Knight; many aunts, uncles and other relatives.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children Dawn Buzzard, Richard Knight and wife Annie and Noel Sawyer and wife Lonnelle; brothers Dub Knight and wife Edna and Dennis Knight and wife Loree; grandchildren Jacob Buzzard, Nicholas Sawyer and Jillian Koch and husband Kyren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
