Rose Mary (Kelly) Driskell, age 81, passed away November 26, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Red Oak, Iowa.
Rose was born to Fred and Edith (Hill) Kelly on October 15, 1930 in Gillette, Wyoming. The family moved to southern Missouri and Rose attended a one room school up through the eighth grade.
On February 27, 1951, Rose married Hue Wayne Driskell in Salam, Arkansas, and to this union three daughters, Mary, June and Ellen were born. They resided in West Plains, Willow Springs, Cabool, and Tarkio, Missouri before moving to Shenandoah, Iowa in 1970.
For many years Rose worked for Rawlings in Willow Springs along with her sister Maggie. Rose also worked many years for Mount Arbor Nursery and at Farm Masters in Shenandoah.
Preceding Rose in death were her husband, Hue Wayne Driskell in 2005; her parents, Fred and Edith Kelly; her brothers, Ott, John and Holmer Kelly; sisters, Edna, Maggie, Fern, Edith and Eva; and son-in-law, George Buchta of Idaho.
Survivors include her three daughters; Mary Buchta of Boise, Idaho, June Carnes and husband Carl of Essex, Iowa and Ellen Houser and husband Jim of Coburg, Iowa, three sister; Gene, Betty, and Arley, two brothers; Roy and Ray, 14 grandchildren; Jody Purvis, Clay and Rick Tooley, Amanda Jermann, Dianne Humble, Tim, Scott, Chris and Michael Buchta, Sheila Kennedy and Carl Carnes, Jr., Wendy Moyer and Jimmy and Johnny Houser; 30 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
