Robert H. Savidge, 96 of Algonquin, Illinois, passed away on September 12, 2021. He was the son of Jewel and Alva Savidge and a wonderful brother to Mary Colville. He graduated from Shenandoah High School with the class of 1943. He was a World War II Veteran with the 34th Infantry, 133rd Regiment. He was a recipient of the Combat Infantry badge, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Presidential Unit Citation. Following his honorary discharge in 1946 he attended and graduated from University of Iowa. He had a distinguished career with Swanson and Campbell Soup Companies. He was a great man, loving son, grandson, father, friend, teacher, leader, and mentor.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Congregational Church in Shenandoah.   Open viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home, family may not be present during the open viewing.  Memorials may be directed to the Masonic Charity Foundation of New Jersey, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington, NJ 08016.  Burial will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery with military rites provided by the Shenandoah American Legion Color Guard.
