Robert "Bob" Maher, 67, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Missouri with family members by his side. Robert "Bob" Eugene Maher was born June 28, 1947 in Council Bluffs, IA, son of Francis L. and Wilma Rose (Coy) Maher. He was raised on a farm north of Imogene and attended Union School. He was united in marriage to Ann Burkhiser on October 11, 1969 and to this union six children were born. He was united in marriage to Jeanne Fitzgerald on April 11, 1992. Bob farmed with his Dad and continued with dairy/farming in the Corning/Bedford area for many years. He later was a milk hauler in Missouri over twenty years.

Preceding Bob in death were his father and mother; brothers, Michael, Roger and Matthew; sister, Mary Beth Morton and her husband Buck. Survivors include his wife Jeanne of Sunrise Beach, MO; children, Julie and Kevin Kordick of Boone, IA, Laura and Mike Davidson of Des Moines, IA, John and Stephanie Maher of Lillington, NC, Paul Maher of Des Moines, IA, Amy and Todd Krauth of Urbandale, IA, Mark Maher of Johnston, IA; step-son, John Wendleton of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Kordick, Ashley, Zach, Amber, Emily and Harley Davidson, Jeremy West, Logan and Ethan Maher, Emma and Charlee Krauth; several great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Patricia Connelly of Farragut, IA, Bill Maher and Celeste Nelson of Treynor, IA Duane and Mary Maher of Omaha, NE, Denise and Bob Donnelly of Redmond, OR, Jerry Maher and Donna Hughes of Shenandoah, IA, Doug and Cindi Maher of Poway, CA, Sandra Bugg and Darwin of Farragut, IA and David Maher of Farragut, IA; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Maher of Cotton, MN; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church Building Fund, The American Cancer Society or Donors choice.

Inurnment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Imogene.
