Robert "Bob" Lee Strange, the son of Oscar William and Mabel Beatrice (Smith) Strange, was born January 29, 1940 in Martinez, California. Bob passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at his home in Shenandoah. He was 74 years old.

Bob moved to Shenandoah at the age of two. When he was seven they moved to Kansas City until at the age of 16, he moved back to Shenandoah with his father. He stayed in Shenandoah, where he would eventually meet his future wife, Ida Neylene Dailey. They were united in marriage on November 15, 1965 in Maryville, Missouri. To this union four wonderful children were born: Robert, Jr., Doris, Curtis and Kathyleen.

Bob worked for Lake-Mount Arbor Nurseries, Earl May Nurseries and Crestland Co-op in Shenandoah. He was a member of Assembly of God where he was Sunday School Superintendent and Driver. He taught Royal Rangers and Adult Sunday School. He sang in the church choirs. He went out and witnessed to people with Brother Jim Volner. He last attended church at the Christian Fellowship Church in Shenandoah.

Bob enjoyed playing video games, watching football and baseball, visiting with family and friends. He also was a huge Nebraska Cornhuskers fan.

Preceding Bob in death was his dad, Oscar William Strange.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Ida N. Strange of Shenandoah; son, Robert Lane, Jr. and wife Robin of Shenandoah; daughter, Doris Dickinson and husband Kevin of Tampa, Florida; son, Curtis Strange and wife Julie of Red Oak; daughter, Kathyleen White and husband James of Omaha; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; mother, Mabel B. Hope of Brunswick, Georgia; sister, Darlene Curry and husband Lance of Brunswick, Georgia; brother, Richard Strange and wife Donna of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Burial will be held at the Union Grove Cemetery in rural Northboro.
