Obituary

Robert "Bob" Alfred Crowell, son of Alfred "Hap" and Ardyth B. (Duncan) Crowell, was born on May 9, 1942, in Shenandoah, Iowa. He passed away on Monday, February 20, 2006, at his home in Shenandoah.
Bob's early life was spent in Shenandoah, on a farm east of Braddyville, Iowa and at Northboro, Iowa. He graduated from South Page Community High School in College Springs, Iowa, with the Class of 1960. In the early 60's following high school, Bob joined the Iowa Army National Guard. He was married to Peggy Bryson Hartman and they have three sons, Rick, Tim and Tom. He later married Linda Tyler and became father of Tiffany.
Like his dad, Hap, Bob earned a living driving a truck. Some of the companies he drove for were K. W. Ripley of College Springs, Art Quiring of Coin, Iowa, Wayne Stevens of Shenandoah and McLaren Construction of Shenandoah. Bob was a member of the Shenandoah Elks Lodge and former 4-Her. Bob always greeted people with a smile. He was ready to lend a helping hand when asked.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents. He is survived by his children, Rick Hartman and his wife Tina of Farragut, IA, Tim Crowell of Wichita Falls, TX, Tom Crowell of Scott AFB, IL, and Tiffany Stanley and her husband Jeff of Shenandoah, IA; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside memorial services were held on Friday, February 24, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
