Randal Brice West was born on August 16, 1968 in Shenandoah, Iowa; the third child of Duane and Carolyn (Stake) West. Randy entered into eternal peace on Sunday afternoon; September 28, 2008 at his home in Farragut.
Randy attended school in Farragut and graduated from Farragut High School with the Class of 1987. While in school Randy was active in many sports, several clubs and served as Homecoming King his senior year. Following graduation Randy enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his county for over 5 years. During his time in the military he was stationed in Washington D.C. and Gulfport, MS.

Randy was married to Tisch Spoonamore and to this union one child, Dustin Brice West was born. He later married Patricia Walker and the couple was blessed with another child Dani West. Randy later adopted her two children Alex and Casey. He later had long term relationship with Angie Bourisaw and cared for her children Ashley and Johnny. Randy had recently found happiness with his companion Eve Jones and her children Tori and Zoey.
Randy held several jobs throughout his lifetime. He worked for Superior Honda in Council Bluffs as a mechanic, Super Saver Grocery Store in Council Bluffs where he worked as a security guard, Lakeside Motor Express in Council Bluffs where he was a truck driver, Mid America in Council Bluffs where he also was a security guard and most recently he was employed as a truck driver for Duane West Trucking in Farragut, IA. Randy was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Farragut.
Some of Randy's passions included his beloved family and friends, auto racing, working on his semi-truck, and restoring and showing his red GMC truck.
Those welcoming him into heavens gates include his beloved grandmother Lois Stake, grandfathers Coes Stake and Everett West, aunt Beverly Almquist, and cousin C.J. Almquist.

Those left to honor Randy's memory include his parents; Duane and Carolyn of Farragut, siblings Gary West and Marlene Huggins of Newton, IA; children; Dustin West of Unionville, MO, Dani, Alex, and Casey West of Council Bluffs,IA; 2 grandchildren; nephews Cameron and Brandon Huggins of Newton, IA; special friend Eve Jones and her children Tori and Zoey; other family and dear friends.

Funeral Services were held on Thursday; October 2, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Farragut with Rev. Fred Bryson officiating. Loreene Stoaks served at the memory register while Delores Carlson and Phyllis Stake attended to the flowers. Casket Bearers where Gary West, Dustin West, Cameron Huggins, Brandon Huggins, Ron Stoaks, Tracy Williams, Paul Stawowczyk and Brent Van Houten. Honorary Casket Bearers were Jack Hoffman, Bill Stawowczyk, Jack Stake, Merlin West, Craig Almquist, along with Brooks Bateman and Junior Roof two deceased friends of Randy's. Special musical selections were "Who'll Stop The Rain", "So Far Away" and "Candle In The Wind". Burial followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah with military honors being presented by the United State Navy.

Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
