Mona passed away early Wednesday morning, March 24, 2010 at the Shenandoah Medical Center.

Ramona Kay (Neiens) Weber was born on August 6, 1939 in Wiota, Iowa, the daughter of John Peter and Mary Elizabeth (Zierhut) Neiens. Mona entered into peace on March 24, 2010 in Shenandoah, Iowa.
Mona's early years were spent on the family farm near Wiota. She graduated from Wiota High School with the Class of 1957. Following graduation she worked in Atlantic as a secretary. On December 30, 1959 she was united in marriage to Charles Weber at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Massena. The couple resided in Ames, Red Oak, and Glenwood before making their home in Shenandoah.
Mona dedicated her life to her family. She assisted in the family business, Weber Engineering, by serving as secretary and bookkeeper. Mona and Charles later divorced. She then worked as a teller at Western Federal Savings and Loan.
Some of Mona's passions included watching college football and basketball, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeye's and the Creighton Bluejays. She respected the Nebraska Cornhusker's Football team's athletic ability, but loved to root against them any chance she could get. She loved to do the New York Times crossword puzzles, going to garage sales with friends, collecting Christmas Trees, unicorns, and old clocks. Of all these things, the love she carried for her family is the one thing that never changed and the thing that sustained her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joseph Neiens and sister Dolores Curry.
Those left to honor her memory include her children Michael Weber and wife Kris of Shenandoah, Peter Weber and wife Renee of Council Bluffs and Martha Weber Conradt and husband Joseph Conradt of Johannesburg, South Africa; grandchildren Maggie Weber and Marty Anderson III, Jack and Levi Weber and Max and Ben Conradt; great-grandchildren Marty IV, Serin, and Marianne Anderson; sisters Helen Stakey of Anita and Florence Christofferson of Atlantic; brother-in-law Don Curry of Massena; special friends Bev, Debbie, Jan, Faye and Elizabeth; other family and friends.
