Philip passed away on Thursday afternoon April 26, 2018 at the Garden View Care Center.

Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. There will be open visitation on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Joseph Philip Inman was born on April 8, 1940 in Morristown, Tennessee the son of Robert and Carrie Eula (Everett) Inman. Philip entered into eternal peace on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa.

Philip's early years were spent in Tennessee where he resided until he was 5 years old. The family then moved to Tarkio, Missouri. On June 22, 1957 he was united in marriage to Joan (Rima) in Fairfax, Missouri. The couple resided in the Missouri area before moving to Stanton for a short time. They later moved to Shenandoah where they raised their family.

Philip was not afraid of hard work. He provided for his family by farming, working as a police officer, driving truck for Bill Miller and Keane Thummel and later worked at NSK as a security guard.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the Appaloosa Horse Club. He enjoyed his time breeding Appaloosa Horses, working in the yard, fishing, boating and camping.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joan; his parents; brothers Stanley and Robert Jr.; and a sister Karen Inman. Those left to cherish his memory include his children Allen Inman and wife Tana of Loveland, CO, Craig Inman and wife Tammy of Bedford, IA, and Connie Inman of Shenandoah; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Dave Inman and wife Carol of Anchor Point, AK; sister Marilyn Sprague and husband Marvin of Savannah, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
