Patsy Carol Peery was born on October 23, 1943 in Clearmont, Missouri, the daughter of William Granville and Mary Louella (Burke) Peery. Patsy entered into eternal peace on December 26, 2024 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was raised in southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri. She attended school through the eighth grade. She then had to stay home and assist her mother with taking care of her brother Bill. On June 25, 1981 she was united in marriage to Dennis Schenck in Tarkio, Missouri. The couple was blessed with 43 years of marriage.
During her working years she was employed as a waitress with various restaurants throughout southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri. She loved to visit with her customers and always provided excellent customer service. When her daughter Chynne was born, she took some much deserved time off to spend raising her. She later returned to the workforce and was employed by Wal-Mart for 10 years before settling into retirement.
Patsy was a fantastic cook. She was known for her love of baking, making fried chicken and her wonderful holiday meals. She also enjoyed gardening, reading Danielle Steele novels and caring for her family. In 2018 she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed being an active member and treasured the many friendships she made.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary and brothers, Jack Peery and wife Neola, Jim Peery and wife Joann and William Peery. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Dennis; daughter Chynne Graham and husband Brian; nieces Amy Peery, Nancy Buttry, Linda Terry, Robin Henderson, Karen Berning and Leslie Welch; nephew Mike Peery; other relatives and a host of friends.
