Patricia Campbell Opfel, beloved wife and devoted mother of three loving children passed into rest on March 16, 2016 at home in Oakland, California in the arms of her family.

Born and raised in Farragut, Iowa, only child of Clarence "C.C." Campbell and Jesse Poulsom Campbell, she attended Christian College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.

Widely traveled, she accompanied her husband, Robert E. Opfel, USAF (Rtd.) to postings in several states and the Far East, creating lovely homes and gardens for her family. She was proudest of her dream home in the Elmwood Park neighborhood of Omaha.

Trim, fashionable and dynamic, Patricia directed TV and print promotions at her Opfel Associates advertising agency. She retired as an award-winning senior copywriter for Mutual of Omaha.

As mother of a creative family and lover of the arts, she supported the Omaha Ballet and Joslyn Art Museum, among others. She enjoyed entertaining at home and hosted many gracious parties.

Patricia is survived by her daughter Patricia , Jr., son John Robert, and grandsons Robert Matthew and Jason Rodillas. She is now reunited her husband Robert Ernest and youngest daughter Barbara Campbell Rotermund.
