Patricia Jean (Delehant) Erickson was born on April 15, 1942 in Imogene, Iowa, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Ryan) Delehant. Pat entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 28, 2011 at her home in Clinton, Iowa at the age of 69 years.
Pat's early years were spent in Imogene, where she attended school. She graduated from St. Patrick's Academy with the Class of 1960. She attended Barnes Beauty School in Council Bluffs where she received her cosmetology license.
Pat began her hairdressing career by working at Beauty By Betty. She later fulfilled her dream of owning and operating her own salon, The Styling Station in Shenandoah. She later went to work with Ina Rhea Whitehill at Brodersen's Beauty Shop. Most recently she was working at Family Afhair in Clinton.
While living in Shenandoah Pat was a member of the Saddle Club in Council Bluffs and the Nishna Valley Saddle Club in Shenandoah. She was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing with the grandchildren, playing tennis, shopping, train trips, eating out and overnight stays. Most recently she was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Clinton. She was devoted to her faith and enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Rosemary Mauer; brother-in-laws Dareld Mauer and Willis Hurst. Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Rhoni Hartsock of Clinton; grandchildren Veka, Jess and Jake Hartsock of Clinton; brothers Michael Delehant and wife Trish of Imogene and Don Delehant and wife Polly of Smithville, MO; sisters Rita Hurst of Shenandoah and Joan Bruce and husband Larry of Red Oak; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of beloved friends.
