Nora Faye Loye, daughter of Buren and Stella Murphy, was born on January 5, 1933 in Alex, OK, at the height of the Great Depression. She passed away on Sept. 15, 2015 in Council Bluffs.

Nora worked as a caregiver at a nursing home until moving to South Omaha in 1968 where she worked for both Swift Meats and Metro Area Transit before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, carrying the Omaha World Herald to rural customers and traveling with her longtime companion Robert Putnam.

Nora is survived by her daughters Rita (Craig) Smith of Omaha, Theresa (Scott) Boyce of Omaha and Marie Loye of Council Bluffs, grandchildren Aaron, Rhea, and Ryan Smith and Rikki Loye and former husband Jeremiah Loye all of Omaha.
