Nancy Jane (Fender) Cox, Omaha, NE, was born on July 15, 1951, in Iowa City, IA. She was the daughter of Gene and Marilyn Fender of Hamburg, IA. Nancy graduated from Hamburg High School in 1969 and married Dan Cox in 1972. Nancy passed on January 17, 2013 at the age 61 years, 6 months, and 2 days.

Nancy attended Christian College in Columbia, MO, for two years and also was a student at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Tarkio College, in Tarkio, MO, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She was studying to become an elementary school teacher when she and Dan became parents. Nancy devoted her life to her husband and sons. She was diagnosed with brain cancer in August of 2012.

Nancy and Dan had two sons, Clayton (wife Britnie) and Matthew of Omaha, Clayton and Britnie have two sons, Keller and Connor, and a daughter, Quinn. Nancy is also survived by her brother David Fender (JoAnn) of Auburn, NE; numerous nieces and nephews; her aunt Dorothy Fender and cousin Jae Gilbert (Randy) of Omaha; and cousin Mark Fender of Austin, TX.
