Penny (Coulter) Colwell, 82, passed away at Goldenrod Manor in Clarinda, Iowa on Friday, December 7, 2007. She is the widow of Silas Colwell. A Celebration of Penny's life will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007, following cremation. Memorials in her name may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Clarinda or to the American Cancer Society. Burial will take place at a later date in Springfield, Missouri.

Penny is survived by her daughter, Pat Hopper and her husband Gary of Clarinda, Iowa; four grandsons, Brian and Tim Hopper, Sean McQueary and wife Kimand Ryan McQueary and wife Sarah; two great granddaughters Alexa and Maddie McQueary; two step-children, Martin Colwell and Theresa Colwell; other relatives and many friends.
