Mildred Louise Tyner was born January 21, 1924 to Altis Chester and Effa Lena (Clancy) Danner in Shenandoah, Iowa. Mildred passed away March 18, 2015 at the Gardenview Care Center, Shenandoah, Iowa.
Mildred attended school in Shenandoah and a few years of grade school in Kansas City before returning to Shenandoah and graduating with the class of 1943.
Mildred married Alvin Tyner on May 31, 1947, in Shenandoah, Iowa where they made their home. To this union two children were born, Thomas Alvin and Vicky Sue. Mildred and Alvin were married 63 years.
Mildred loved playing bridge and was in many bridge clubs over the years. She was a member of Antique Study Club, American Legion Auxiliary and Elks Ladies Bridge.
She loved spending winters in Arizona were she could bask in her beloved sun. Many of her favorite memories were of the Tyner brothers' annual vacations where she got to spend time with her sisters-in-laws. Mildred spent each day reading every page of the Omaha World Herald. At Christmastime she loved making her famous fudge and giving it to neighbors and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin in 2010 and son Tommy in 1985.
Mildred is survived by daughter Vicky Sue and son-in-law Michael Briggs, sister-in-law Marilyn Tyner of Seal Beach and many nieces and nephews.
