Mary Katherine Miller was born on January 20, 1945 in Shenandoah, Iowa, the daughter of Ople and Ruby (Hall) Miller.  Mary entered into peace on February 6, 2022 at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa.

Mary's early years were spent in the Shenandoah community where she attended school. She later went on to obtain her certified nursing assistant and certified medical assistant certifications.    In 1960 she was united in marriage to Ivan Taylor and this union was blessed with the birth of three children; David Wayne, William Scott and Katherine Ann.    She was later united in marriage to W. Elroy Pierce and to this union one son William  "Bill" was born.

Mary worked various jobs over the years.  She especially enjoyed working as a CNA/CMA for the medically handicap and elderly.  She took great pride in her work.  Some of her hobbies included spending time with family and friends, playing cards and doing crafts.  She was a member of the Eagles Club in Shenandoah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Ivan; second husband Elroy and special friend Frank Briggs.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children  David Taylor, Scott Taylor, Kathy (Steve) Tanner and Bill (Samantha) Pierce; grandchildren Katie Gray, Jacob Pierce, Kaleb Cone, Patrick Crumpton, Savanah Pierce, Kolen Cone, Samual Pierce, Zachary Gobert and Kathy Adams; other family and dear friends.
