Mary Jane Carroll was born on September 23, 1926 in Hamburg, Iowa; the daughter of Louis Eugene Carroll and Mary Adelta (Heckel) Carroll. "Jaynie", as she was known by many friends, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, November 27 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jaynie spent her early years in Hamburg and Lohrville, Iowa. She graduated from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1943.

On June 30, 1946 she was united in marriage to Walter T. "Tede" Lorimor in the United Methodist Church in Shenandoah, Iowa. Following their marriage the couple resided on the family farm in Fremont Co., just a mile from Tede's parents. It was there that Tede and Jaynie raised their two sons; Michael and Gregory. In 1964 the family was awarded the WOW-TV, "Farm Family of the Week."

Jaynie was very active in the community. She was a member of the Farragut United Methodist Church for many years, a leader in the Farragut Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron and served as a district instructor. She was also active in PEO. Jaynie and Tede always looked forward to their annual fishing trip in Minnesota with family and friends. The Lorimor Family Reunion every other year at the Lake of the Ozarks was also a highlight. She and Tede enjoyed playing bridge and other card games with friends. After her boys were raised Jaynie became an avid golfer. She and Tede traveled on a number of golf trips with friends to Arizona, Mississippi and Texas. She and Tede also spent many winter months in Arizona and in New Braunfels, Texas. Tede and Jaynie were blessed with over 62 years of marriage.

Jaynie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Tede; brothers Donald and Richard; and granddaughters Dawn Carroll Michelle Lorimor and Katie Suzanne Lorimor.

Surviving are sons Michael F. Lorimor and wife Diane of Lincoln, NE and Gregory L. Lorimor and wife Jody of Tulsa, OK; grandsons Kevin Lorimor (Kathy) of Phoenix, AZ, Kasey Lorimor of Council Bluffs, IA; Scott Lorimor of Salt Lake City, UT, and Rob Roberts (Janine) of Lincoln, NE; granddaughters Sara Daulton (Mike) and Stacy Lytle (Joe) both of Tulsa, OK; 6 great-granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons, sister-in-law Shirley Schaaf (Stan) of Randolph, IA; sister-in-law Marie Lorimor of Shenandoah, IA; many nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Burial will be in the Farragut Cemetery at Farragut. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jaynie's name are being directed to The Children's Square USA Charity, N 6th St & Ave E, Council Bluffs, IA 51501.
