Obituary

Marjorie passed away on Monday evening at The Ambassador in Sidney, following an extended illness.

Marjorie E. Josephson was born on September 18, 1918 in Page County, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Ina (Anderson) Josephson. Marjorie entered into eternal peace on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Ambassador in Sidney at the blessed age of 95 years.

Marjorie's early years were spent to Montgomery and Page County. She attended Coburg Consolidated School in Coburg, Iowa. Marjorie graduated from nurses training at the Hand Hospital, where she later worked for a number of years. She also worked as a switchboard operator at the Delmonico Hotel in Shenandoah. The majority of her working career was with the Methodist Hospital, where she worked for over 40 years, until her retirement.

Marjorie enjoyed her time living and working in Omaha. She loved all the activities and entertainment that city living offered. She enjoyed attending events at Arksarben, going to movies, attending plays and spending time with friends. She was an avid reader of the Omaha World Herald. She was passionate about keeping up to date on current topics, both locally and around the world. Nebraska Football held a special place in her heart. She could name every player on the field and even tell you a little bit about them personally.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Harold, Duane and Jack. Those left to cherish her memory include her nephews and nieces; R.F. "Bud" Josephson and wife Joyce of Edgerton, Wisconsin, Julia Denhart and husband Dr. Joseph Denhart; Jerry Josephson and wife Mary Jo both of Shenandoah, Iowa; Gary Josephson of Arizona and Kathie Josephson of Florida; special friends Pat and Del Ludvigson and family of Omaha, Nebraska, many great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
