Margaret Ellen Randell the daughter of Amos and Lucy Edgerton Jones , was born on June 17, 1917 at Riverton, Iowa and entered into rest a the Gardenview Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa on January 24, 2017 at the age of 99.

Margaret grew up in Riverton and the surrounding rural area. Her first years in school she attended rural schools later attending and graduating from Riverton High School, on May 17, 1935. After graduation she moved to Shenandoah to find work, living with her Aunt Elsie Scott. On April 21, 1937 she was united in marriage to Winifred Lee Randell in Red Oak, Iowa. After their marriage they made their home 1/2 mile east of Riverton, Iowa.

Margaret enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and doing yard work. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Preceding her death were her parents, five brothers, one sister; her husband Winifred Lee Randell on November 15, 1991.

Survivors include her daughter Charlene Barnes of Fairfax, Virginia, three grandchildren, Lisa Stevenson, Jannine Rhee, and Arthur Randell Barnes; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Annie Stevenson, Alaina and Alyssa Rhee, Jackalyn and Arthur James Barnes

Celebration of life funeral service will be held 10:30 am, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.

Burial will be held at the Riverton Cemetery in Riverton.

Memorials may be directed St. Jude's Children Hospital.
