Obituary

Loraine Foutch, the daughter of Ralph and Mary Jane "Jeannie" O'Riley Steadman, was born on March 16, 1927 near Nodaway, Iowa. She passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Stanton Care Center in Stanton, Iowa. She was 89 years old.

Loraine grew up and went to school in Nodaway where she met Gerald Rupp. They were united in marriage in 1943 and five children were blessed to the union.

Loraine moved to Red Oak with her five children around the late 1950's and worked at Earl Mays and various other jobs. In 1965 she was united in marriage to Jackie Eugene Foutch, they moved to Essex and later moved to their final residence in Shenandoah, Iowa. Loraine worked for Gee Construction and Henry Fields both seasonally. Later in her career she worked at Dollar General. She was a member of the Shenandoah Eagles. Loraine enjoyed gardening, dancing and listening to music, playing cards, doing word puzzles, loved her dogs Kato and Lucky and others over the years. Most of all she loved cookingSundaydinners for her family and friends, her chicken and noodles will truly be missed.

Preceding her death were her parents; her husband: Jack Foutch, her daughter: Billie Ann Fink; her sisters: Mia Shipman and husband Gordon, Helen Roby and husband Clyde and Jean Hankins and husband Eldon "Smiley" and brother: Bill Steadman.

Survivors include her children: Jerry Rupp and John Rupp both of Shenandoah, Iowa; Iris McAnly of Villisca, Iowa; Iona M. Allen and husband Richard of Corning, Iowa. 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren, many other relatives, and very-very special friends.

She was not known by many as Loraine but as Ma, Mom, Momma, Grandma, Grannie, Grammie, and Wayma. However you knewher,we know you will miss her and loved her. BLESS YOU ALL FOR YOUR KIND THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

Celebration of life memorial visitation with the family will be held from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm, Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.

Celebration of life memorial graveside service will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
