Lois Elouise (Martin) Pease was born on March 11, 1924 in Atchison County, Missouri, the daughter of Lester R. and Beulah (Hutton) Martin. Lois entered into eternal peace on Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Shenandoah Medical Center.
Lois was raised in the Fairfax, Missouri area. She attended Daleview School and graduated with the Class of 1942. On February 5, 1944 she was united in marriage to Charles M. Pease in Hiawatha, Kansas. The couple resided in rural Shenandoah until moving into town in 1980.
During her working years Lois was employed by Henry Fields, Mount Arbor, Lakes Nursery, and then enjoyed her role as devoted mother tending to her children. Lois kept active as a volunteer at Garden View Care Center, the Shenandoah Food Pantry, and the American Red Cross. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Some of her interests included researching genealogy, feeding the birds, and cooking. She thoroughly loved being a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She brought much inspiration to their lives and the lessons that she taught them about life will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Chester, Lester, Raymond, Donald, Austin, James and Carl Martin.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years Charles; sons Charles Dean Pease and wife Marilee and Curtis Pease and wife Karen all of Shenandoah; grandchildren Darin Pease and wife Jackie, Jason Pease and wife Mindy, Molly Nelson and husband Eric and Brandon Pease and fianc Brandy Grummert; great-grandchildren Tanner, Taylor, Tucker and Victoria; brother Dean Martin and wife Elizabeth of Fairfax, MO; sister-in-laws Clotile Pease and friend Kathy Bergman, Marilyn Hagedorn, Betty Martin, Mary Martin and Lorena Stevens; many other relatives and dear friends.
