Lee Ellen Allumbaugh passed away September 27, 2012 at her home in Essex, Iowa. Lee was born the daughter of Floyd and Thelma (Homan) Fike on January 10, 1935. She was born and raised in Shenandoah. Besides living in Essex and Shenandoah she had also resided in Omaha, NE, California and Michigan.
Lee worked 16 years for Lewis Cleaners, 8 years for Earl May and 6 years for Henry Fields. Some of her hobbies included camping, playing cards, fishing, crocheting, crafts, her flower gardens and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Eagles Club.
Preceding Lee in death were her parents, husband Jack V. Allumbaugh, Sr. and sister Patricia Ann Carlson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Jack Allumbaugh, Jr. and wife Pam of Essex, Greg Allumbaugh and wife Jody of Lewis, Iowa and Rhonda Gray and husband Joe of Shenandoah; six grandchildren Mindi York and husband Gary, Brad Allumbaugh and wife Jessica, Gregory Allumbaugh and wife Lisa, Emma Allumbaugh, Lucas Gray and Jeanna Crabs and husband Trent; nine great-grandchildren; Keely and Samantha York, Brady and Jonah Allumbaugh, Gabe and Lane Allumbaugh, Zander, Bryce and Frances Crabs; brother Floyd Fike, Jr. and wife Sandra of Essex, sisters Mary Jo Smith and husband Verlin of Essex and Pranda Hale and husband Otis of Essex.
