Keith Wendell Kingsolver, son of Everett Wendell and Mildred Alice (Bateman) Kingsolver, was born August 2, 1944 in Hamburg, Iowa. He passed away September 6, 2015 at the Shenandoah Medical Center in Shenandoah, Iowa. He was 71 years old.
Keith grew up on the family farm northwest of Farragut, Iowa. He attended country school and graduated from Farragut High School with the class of 1962.
In 1964 he married Gloria Jean Gardner and moved to a farm just north of where he grew up. On July 23, 1983 he married Mary Louise Guthrie in Sidney, Iowa.
Keith was a farmer but he also worked as a bus driver and worked at Fremont Co. Coop and Walmart. He was on the Farm Bureau Board, Prairie Township Council and a member of Sidney United Methodist Church which is now United Faith Church. He enjoyed farming, woodworking and reading Western novels.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Mildred Kingsolver, sister Wanda Kingsolver Hintz and grandson Mathew Lee Stephen.
Keith is survived by his wife Mary Kingsolver of rural Farragut, son Douglas Kingsolver and wife Beverly of Tabor, Iowa, son Steven Kingsolver of Corning, Iowa, daughter Jodi Stephen and husband Christopher of Glenwood, Iowa and son Benjamin Kingsolver and wife Renee of Farragut, Iowa, , grandchildren Bobby, Brian, Kate, Michael, Philip, Jacob, Payton, Lillian, Benjamin, "JR", Caden and Emma, great-grandchildren Jeffrey and Ellie, nephews, other family and friends.
Burial will be in the Farragut Cemetery.
