Kathy attended school in Essex and graduated from Essex High School with the Class of 1958.  On September 10, 1960 she was united in marriage to Jerry Stanbrough.  The couple made their home in Essex, Kathy never left her block that she grew up on.

During her working career she worked for Mount Arbor Nurseries and Henry Fields until its closure.  Kathy and Jerry then worked at the Essex American Legion as club managers for many years.  She also worked at the Earl May Distribution Center until her retirement.  Kathy was a member of the Essex Presbyterian Church.

Some of her hobbies included camping with family, tending to her large garden, loving on her dogs and cats and spending time with family at various activities.  The grand kids were of great help to her and Jerry when tending to the garden.  They were very helpful weeding, planting and picking the fruits of their labor.

Those welcoming her into heaven were her parents Slim and Mary; husband Jerry, brothers Jackie, Richard, Junior and Bob and sisters Geri Morrison and Cheryl Bose.  Those left to honor her memory include her children Kim Stanbrough, Pat Stanbrough and wife Karen and Dee Davis and husband Rob, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of dear friends,
