Juanita May Berringer was born on July 12, 1964 in Shenandoah, Iowa, the daughter of Darrel Gene and Alice (Hale) Berringer.  Juanita entered into eternal peace on Sunday, May 23, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Juanita lived in the same house on 310 N Pear Street that she was raised in.   Her dream came true the day that she was offered to purchase it from their previous landlord.    She was married to Wesley Kalkas and the couple was blessed with the birth of two children Alice "Allie" and Austin.

During her working years she was employed by Henry Fields until its closure.  Some of her hobbies and interests included doing puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren, collecting Nebraska Cornhusker and Kansas City Chiefs memorabilia and she also enjoyed crocheting blankets.  Juanita surely knew how to make people smile and light up the room with her presence.  She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Darrel and Alice and brother Gene.  Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Alice and husband Chris Walters and son Austin Kalkas, grandchildren Kirsten, Damien, Jordan, Halle and Carter, aunt and uncle Mary and Art Squires, grand puppies Champ, Sarge and Ruby Doo, other family and many friends.
