Joyce May (King) Blank was born on January 16, 1927 in Jamesport, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and May (Miller) King. Joyce entered into eternal peace on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, Missouri at the age of 84 years.

Joyce was raised in Jamesport and graduated from Jamesport High School with the Class of 1945. Following graduation she moved to Maryville, Missouri where she attended Northwest Missouri State University and she obtained her teaching certificate.

On August 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to Ralph Blank at the First United Methodist Church in Maryville. The couple made their first home in Cameron, Missouri where she taught school. Upon Ralph's completion of service to his country the couple returned to Missouri where they raised their family. Joyce was a dedicated wife and homemaker.

Joyce attended church regularly until her illness prevented her going. Her last church attended was the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Some of Joyce's hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband Ralph; brothers Robert, Frank Jr., and James Braxton; sister Mary Margaret Budzinski; and son-in-law Jess Rausch.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Beverly Rausch; son James Blank and wife Michele; grandchildren Matthew Rausch, Jennifer Rausch, Daniel Blank and wife Noel and Andrew Blank; brothers Dean and Harold King; and a host of other family and dear friends.
