The family is deeply saddened by the events that took Josh from us. As we grieve together we would like to share our appreciation for all law enforcement and professional services that provided support for Josh and our family. We have full confidence in the investigators and have faith that justice will be served to all parties involved in this unthinkable act. We are encouraged by the overwhelming support received from our family and friends as well as the respect shown for our privacy during this trying time. Memorials can be directed toward the family to help with services.
On February 17, 1986 in Shenandoah, Iowa Allan and Dawn welcomed their son, Joshua Lyle Jordan into the world. Josh lived in the community of Shenandoah his entire life. It was here that he grew up with his brothers Caleb and Jake. Josh attended Shenandoah Community Schools. He made many friendships along the way and enjoyed days spent with family.
Josh worked for his dad and Charlie Lisle doing various carpentry work. He also helped many others repair and remodel their homes. He was often found lending a helping hand when needed. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing trips with his Uncle Terry, riding ATV's, writing music, playing the guitar, jamming with his friends and riding his bike. Times spent with his family were greatly treasured.
A senseless and tragic event took Josh from this earth in the early hours of April 22, 2019. Our hearts broke and our lives will never be the same. As family and friends of Josh it is our mission to continue to keep his memory alive by sharing fond stories and memories of him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Richard and Phyllis Jordan and Mitchell Minor and his uncle Terry Minor.
Those left to carry on his memory include his parents Allan (Kathy) Jordan and Dawn (Duke) Neumann; siblings Caleb (Kami) Jordan and Jake (Amber) Jordan; daughter Deziree Jordan; sons Isaiah Jordan and JJ Jordan; step-son Tyler Chaney; grandmother Cindy Brooks; step-sister Veronica (Kerry) White; step-brothers Scyler (Crystal) Boylan and Sayler (Justine) Boylan; special friend Stephanie Chaney; 4 nieces, 1 nephew, extended family and friends.
