Jimmy Lee Osborn, son of Donald L. and Edith L. (Arnett) Osborn, was born on November 5, 1949, in Shenandoah, Iowa. He passed away on Friday, November 30, 2007, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 58.

Growing up in Shenandoah, Jimmy attended the Shenandoah Schools. He worked for the Missouri Beef Packers' Association at their plant in Rock Port, Missouri. As a youngster, he attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Shenandoah. He had served as a board member for the West Page Improvement Center for many years. Jimmy was a big fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia. He also collected stamps and stuffed animals. Western movies were also a favorite of his.

Survivors include his father, Donald L. Osborn and sister, Karen Woods both of Shenandoah; nephew, Bill Woods and wife Shari of Red Oak, IA; great niece, Cori Woods of Shenandoah, IA; aunt, Mildred Smith of Des Moines, IA; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith L. (Arnett) Osborn; and an infant sister, Elizabeth Ann Osborn.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at the Center Grove Cemetery in Westboro, Missouri. Pastor Fred Bryson gave the words of comfort. Musical selections were "Amazing Grace", "Angel" and "I Did It My Way". Honorary casket bearers were all of Jimmy's friends. Casket bearers were Kyle Archer, Merlin Eschelman, Timothy Hart, Patrick Hart, Adam Lowery, Marlin Mainquist, Bob Strange and Jack Yost. Memorials are being directed to the family. Interment was in the Center Grove Cemetery.
