Jimmy Wayne Terry was born January 27, 1951, in Ravenwood, Missouri, the son of Donald Terry and Wilma (Hockman) Terry. He passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at his home in Shenandoah, Iowa, at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 14 days.

Jim spent the majority of his childhood years in the Shenandoah area. He attended school in Shenandoah and eventually went on to receive training in auto body frame work and general contracting.

Jim owned and operated Terry's Roofing and Contracting for over 27 years. When he wasn't busy working, Jim enjoyed classic cars, antique shopping and vacationing in the Ozarks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Wilma Terry, brother Kenny Terry and sister Donna Haddenham.

Survivors include his wife Zelda Terry of Shenandoah, Iowa; daughters, Amy Culberson and family of Lamoni, Iowa, Amanda Hopkins and family of Des Moines, Iowa; son Jimmy Terry and family of Red Oak, Iowa; and daughter Tammy Terry and family of Clarinda, Iowa. Brothers and sisters, Keith Terry of Essex, Iowa, Darrell Terry of Buffalo, Texas, Shirley Kragel and husband Ronnie of Kingman, Arizona, Diana Jones and husband Mooch of Essex, Iowa, Kim Terry and wife Sherry of Shenandoah, Iowa, David Terry of Farragut, Iowa, and Lyle Terry and wife Patty of Red Oak, Iowa; along with many other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Burial was held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah, Iowa.
