Janivee Mae (Trail) Warren, daughter of Floyd Eldridge and Evah Mae (Ballinger) Trail, was born on January 8, 1929, at Dora, Missouri. "Jan" entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 23, 2009, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 80.
Her early years were spent in the Missouri communities of Dora and later Tarkio. Jan attended the Tarkio Community Schools, graduating with the Tarkio High School Class of 1947.
On June 6, 1948, Jan was united in marriage to Carroll H. Warren at Rock Port, Missouri. To this union were born two children, Rebecca and Stephen. Following their marriage they made their home in Shenandoah, Iowa, where Jan was a longtime employee of the Security Trust & Savings Bank.
Jan attended the First Christian Church in Shenandoah and was a member of the Saturday morning coffee group. Gardening, playing bridge, working crossword puzzles, spending time with family and studying genealogy all brought great joy to her.
Preceding Jan in death were her parents, and husband, Carroll. Those left to honor her memory are her two children, Steve Warren and his wife Mary of Council Bluffs, IA, and Becky Perry and her husband Bruce of Port Byron, IL; four grandchildren, Scott Warren of Des Moines, IA, Brian Warren of Iowa City, IA, Eric Perry of Davenport, IA and April (Perry) Hayes of Ankeny, IA; five great grandchildren, Kayla and Gavin Kinkaid of Davenport, IA and Cameron, Cassidy and Chloe Hayes of Ankeny, IA; sister, Sharon Gilliam and her husband David of Blue Eye, MO; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Darrell Allely of Shenandoah, IA; other relatives and many friends.
Jan will be missed greatly, not only by her family, but by many friends and neighbors. We know that she is glad to reunited again with her husband Carroll.
A memorial is being established.
