Obituary

Jane Elizabeth Crowley, daughter of Clarence and Earline (Schipper) Cowan, was born July 6, 1936 in LeMars, Iowa. She passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at her home in Colorado. She was 79 years old.

Jane grew up in LeMars, Iowa and graduated from LeMars Central High School with the class of 1954. On September 6, 1954 she was united in marriage to Earle Thomas Crowley at St. James Catholic Church in LeMars. To this union three children were born; David, Janet and Scott. Following their marriage they moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where she worked for a couple of years until they moved to Shenandoah in 1956.

Jane was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Guild. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, bridge clubs, neighborhood coffees, watching sporting events on TV and keeping up on current events with the news. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She liked following the activities and achievements of her family.

Jane moved to Denver, Colorado in November of 2011. She resided at Caley Ridge Assisted Living the last 4 ½ years where she had many friends.

Jane is preceded in death by her husband Earle, and her parents Clarence and Earline.

Jane is survived by her children David Crowley and wife Wendy of Nevada, Iowa, Janet Brasel and husband Tim of Greenwood Village, Colorado and Scott Crowley and wife Linda of Enid, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren (David's) Jason Crowley and wife Stef of West Des Moines, Iowa and Jake Crowley graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in May 2016, (Janet's) Tyler Brasel graduating from Boston College in May 2016 , Colton Brasel graduating from Creighton University in May 2016, and Justin Brasel attending Creighton University, (Scott's) Nathan Crowley and wife Stephanie of Weatherford, Texas, Ryan Crowley and wife Ranae of Columbus, Nebraska and Steven Crowley and wife Krystal of Shenandoah, Iowa, four great-grandchildren; Olivia, Logan, Khloe and Kynli Crowley, brother Jack Cowan and wife Charlene of Urbandale, Iowa, sister Marilyn Probst of Windsor Heights, Iowa, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be direct to the family.

Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
