Irmalee Baldwin, daughter of George A. and Iva E. (Racobs) Barnard was born on December 27, 1925 in Sidney, Iowa. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Shenandoah Medical Center at the age of 84.
Growing up in Sidney, Irmalee attended the Sidney Community Schools, graduating from Sidney High School with the Class of 1943. Following high school Irmalee moved to California where she worked in a factory during World War II for the war effort. She also attended college at Whittier ROP.
On October 26, 1946, Irmalee was united in marriage to William E. Baldwin in Omaha, Nebraska. To this union was born three children, Richard, Michael and Leanna Marie. Irmalee later worked at the Whittier Physicians Exchange and the Whittier Presbyterian Hospital where she worked as an admitting clerk. Prior to moving to Shenandoah in 2001, she lived in Wichita, Kansas. Irmalee was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was an avid reader.
Preceding Irmalee in death were her parents; daughter, Leanna Marie (Baldwin) Macy; husband, William; grandson, James Baldwin; and sister, Thelma Powels.
Her legacy lives on through her two sons, Richard Baldwin and his wife Linda of Shenandoah and Michael Baldwin and his wife Janell of Owensboro, KY; 15 grandchildren, Seth and Heather Baldwin, Jason and Amy Baldwin, Melissa Morales and Luis, Wesley Baldwin and Melissa, David Baldwin and Vanessa, Minnie McGargill and Zachary, Marcie Taylor and Kyle, Joshua Atkinson, Charles Macy, Melissa Smith and Nate, Nicky Duvall and Scott, Kevin Baldwin and Kelli, Brittney Baldwin Restivo, Brandon Baldwin and Caleb Baldwin and Natalie; great grandchildren, Bryan, Kathryn, Timothy, Benjamin, Ema Baldwin, Spencer, Jonah, Hannah, Abel Jay, Elijah James, Malachi Baldwin, Callum, Lydia, Sara, Abram James, Ethan Morales, Anna Leigh, Rebekah Baldwin, Lily, Wyatt Abram Baldwin, Grace and Samuel Baldwin, Leanna Marie LePorte, Jacob McGargill, Kenton and Malcomb Taylor, Baylee and Taylor Baldwin, Eddie Jones, Tara Smith, Leanza Ash, Noah and Logan Baldwin and Shamous Atkinson; sister, Edith Wiley; brother-in-law, Erskine Powels; sister-in-law, Barbara Mullins; other relatives and many friends.
