Obituary

Memorials are currently being established and may be directed to the family.

Ida Neylene Dailey was born on August 22, 1943 in Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Guy William and Doris Irene (Welch) Dailey.  Ida entered into the arms of her Lord on April 12, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska at the blessed age of 79 years.

Ida's early years were spent in the Clarinda community.  On November 15, 1965 she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Strange in Maryville, Missouri.  The couple was blessed with four children; Robert, Doris, Curtis and Kathyleen.  The couple raised their family in the community of Imogene, before later moving to Shenandoah.  During her working years she was employed by Mount Arbor Nurseries, worked in the laundry department at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital and even worked for a short time at McDonalds.

Ida's faith in Jesus Christ grew over the years.  It was very important that her children attend Sunday School and learn about the love of Jesus.  She was a member of the Faith Christian Fellowship Church and also the Assembly of God Church, both located in Shenandoah.  She had a true and deep love for her family.  She enjoyed reading her bible, watching Christian television, collecting Holstein cow figures, collecting and giving away angels and later in life enjoyed collecting gnomes.  Her trips to Walmart were a highlight of her week.   She was so appreciative of the care that was given to her by her children later on in life.  She deeply misses her husband Bob and the family rejoices that they are now reunited in heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, brother Guy Sonny Dailey and sister Mary Vest.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children Robert "Bobby" Lane, Jr. and wife Robin, Doris Dickinson and husband Kevin, Curtis Strange and wife Julie and Kathy White and husband Jay; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Wendell Lavern Dailey and wife Sheila and Larry Dailey; other relatives and a host of friends.
