Helen Louise Nigh was born on December 26, 1926 in Rural Modena, Missouri, to Eddie Clarence "Bud" and Opal (Hamilton) Nigh.  Helen entered into eternal peace on March 27, 2025 in Shenandoah, Iowa .

Her early years were spent on the family farm.  She attended elementary in a country schoolhouse and high school in Spickard, Missouri.  On April 22, 1944 she eloped with Carl Bosley before he was called into service with the United States Navy.  The couple resided in Brimson, Missouri before moving to Shenandoah.  Carl's work with the railroad led the couple to Shenandoah, which would be their forever home.  In 1968 Carl and Helen moved to a farm house on Henry Field's property where they grew bulbs and planted a huge garden which was shared with others.

While the children were in elementary school, Helen typed key ads for Henry Field Nursery during the winter months.   She later went to work at Young America, a job she very much enjoyed.    The couple enjoyed attending sporting and school activities for their children and grandchildren.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Some of Helen's hobbies included gardening, canning and bowling. She was an amazing cook and everyone always looked forward to family dinners at grandmas.  She also enjoyed attending the various musical performances of the Adkins family.  She so enjoyed hearing them all share their musical talent.  After Carl passed Helen moved to Holmes' Apartments on Center Street.  She cherished the many new friendships that she made.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 65 years, Carl; son Ed; brothers Harold, Donald and Dwayne; sisters Shirley and Donna Sue; and son-in-law Larry McClintock.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children, June McClintock and special friend Kent Williams, Gary Bosley and wife Barb and Karen Butler and husband Jim; six grandsons; 3 granddaughters; 22 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wabash Memorial Chapel in Shenandoah.   A private family burial will be held prior to the funeral services in the Rose Hill Cemetery.   The family will greet friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.  Memorials are suggested to the Essex Lied Library Foundation.
