Harriet El Landor Deardorff, daughter of Harry and Mildred (Holland) Kendrick, was born on January 28, 1935 in Fayetteville, Tennessee. She passed away on November 9, 2019 at the Accura Healthcare of Stanton in Stanton, Iowa at the age of 84.
Harriet worked for DX Station in Sidney in the 1970's and early 1980's, Mondo's in the early 1990's and retiring in the late 1990's. She was a member of the Eagles Club and enjoyed sewing, ceramics, fishing, card games, crossword puzzles and word searches.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Deardorff (2004), daughter Lynda Kay, parents Harry and Mildred Kendrick and sister Barbara Kendrick. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Debra (Tim) Main of Wabash, IN, Russell (Anna) Lane of Maryville, MO, Rhonda (Wanda) Lane of Shenandoah, IA and Jeff (Christine) Lane of Henderson, NV; grandchildren; Misty Shipley, Keith (MacKenzie) Swinford, Kristina Swinford, Brett (Christie) Swinford, Kassandra (Eain) Salyer, 13 great-grandchildren and her dog Fur Baby Napa.
A very special thank you to Leon, Charlie, Preston and Tiffany Edwards and Rick and Deb Rivers, Jennifer Dean for always being there for Mom through the years. She loved and appreciated everything you had done for her. You were a big part of her life and considered as her children and grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Memorial Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
