Gregory L. Kiper was born on April 5, 1954 in Shenandoah, Iowa, the son of Lysle Marion and Lois Marvis (Falk) Kiper. Greg entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Garden View Care Center following a brave battle with cancer.
Greg was born and raised in the Shenandoah community. He attended school in Shenandoah and graduated from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1972. Greg later moved to Arizona where he resided for the majority of his life.
In early 2000, Greg moved back to Shenandoah to be closer to his family. He worked for Clarinda Company and Romech. He also obtained his license to drive a truck. Greg was a kind-hearted man, who would give the shirt off of his back to any family member or friend in need.
Some of his interests included watching the San Francisco 49ers' play football on t.v., riding motorcycles, spending time with family, and in his younger days he enjoyed participating in various athletic programs. Greg was somewhat of a "hippie" in his younger days, and continued to live his life, as a free spirit. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, a son David, and two nephews Trevor and Timothy.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory include his children Dustin, Stacey, and Ashley; grandchildren Rogan and Emily; mother Lois Kiper; sisters Connie, Cheryl, and Susie; nieces and nephews Michelle, Tiffany, Shannon, Brandon, Jason, Jeremy, and Justin; great-nieces and nephews Dani, Jordan, Jason, Samuel, Dylan, and Kaitlyn; other family and friends.
May God grant comfort and strength to those who mourn his loss.
