Glenn Elbert Morelock, the son of Jacob Jasper Morelock and Rena Ann Smith, was born near Farragut, Iowa on March 26, 1924. Glenn entered into rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Elm Heights Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa at the age of 91.

Glenn was raised in the rural Farragut area. He attended and graduated from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1942. After graduating he began farming for a short time until World War II when he enlisted in the Army serving from September 15, 1944 to October 23, 1946 serving with the Headquarter Company the 24th Corp. After the war he continued to farm for over 40 years. On March 30, 1944, he was united in marriage to Gerldine Louise Gutschenritter in the St. Mary's Catholic Church rectory. To this union of marriage four children were born; Kathy, Max, Bonnie and Michael.

Glenn was active in his community. He was especially active in the American Legion Post 88 of Shenandoah where he was a long time member, serving as Commander from 1973-1974. Glenn was also a member of the American Legion Post 88 Color Guard. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed coffee shop hopping to find out the news of Shenandoah and the surrounding area.

He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine, a still born son Max Stephen, a daughter Bonnie Jean Danielson, his parents, brothers Earl and Elza Morelock and a sister Maxine Myers. Survivors include his daughter Kathy Allely and husband Terry of Shenandoah, Iowa, son Michael G. Morelock of Council Bluffs, Iowa, son-in-law Steve Danielson of Omaha, Nebraska; seven grandchildren, Kelly McFarland (Wayne) of Omaha, Nebraska, Rodney Allely (Teresa) of Shenandoah, Iowa, Jason Allely (Sarah) of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Angel Robertson of Omaha, Nebraska, Crystal Granados of Omaha, Nebraska, Chris Danielson of Omaha, Nebraska and Ivy Morelock of Des Moines, Iowa; ten great grandchildren, Nick, Bre, Abby, Hayley, Grace, Maddolyn, Simon, Landen, Zoe and Jacoby; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah. Memorials in Glenn's name are being directed to the Shenandoah American Legion Post #88 of Shenandoah.
