Glen Nelson Brink, son of Royal and Elsie (Nelson) Brink, was born on September 2, 1922 in Page County, Iowa. Glen passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He was 93 years old.

Glen graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1940. He joined the U.S. Army in April of 1945, served 14 months in Japan, and was honorable discharged in December of 1946. He received the rank of Company Commander, Second Lieutenant. He also served in the Iowa National Guard for 20 years and Headquarters Company in Council Bluffs, Iowa for 10 years.

On November 12, 1948, Glen was united in marriage to Doris Jean Pierce in Shenandoah, Iowa.

Glen was a proud farmer. He was a member of Farm Bureau, 4H leader, County Board Member of FFA, Church Board at Farragut United Methodist Church, Soybean Board Member, Tarkio Valley Antique Tractor Association, Shenandoah American Legion Post 88 Color Guard, Past Legion Commander, Farragut Coop Board Member. He was the last surviving charter member of Shenandoah FFA Chapter. Glen main hobby was his collection of antique "Oliver" tractors.

Glen was preceded in death by his wife Doris Jean, parents Royal and Elsie Brink, sisters Mildred Brink, Shirley Hunter, and Merna Martin, brothers Willard, Elton, Dale, Boyd, Lee and Wendel "Gene" Brink, mother-in-law Vernice Pierce, sister-in-law Ruth Ann Pierce and brother-in-law Bob Pierce.

Glen is survived by his son Paul Brink and wife Cathy of Shenandoah, Iowa, daughter Patricia Fuller and husband Doug of Fort Ann, New York, granddaughter Olivia Fuller of Troy, New York, brother Russell Brink and wife Vernice of Farragut, Iowa, brother-in-law Leslie Pierce of Oregon, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the Farragut United Methodist Church or Shenandoah American Legion Post 88 Color Guard.

Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah with military rites provided by Shenandoah American Legion Post 88 Color Guard.
