Erma L. Guill daughter of Armon and Okie (Brown) Johnson was born December 31, 1946 in Squires, Missouri. She passed away on February 6, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 67.

Erma was born in Southwest Missouri and moved to Imogene, Iowa when she was five years old. She lost her mother when she was only 17 years old. She attended both Imogene and Farragut schools.

Erma was united in marriage to Dale Guill on June 9, 1963 at the First United Methodist Church in Shenandoah, Iowa. Their married life took them to many different places before returning back home to Shenandoah two years ago. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She was the first woman floor supervisor at the Springfield, Missouri post office.

Erma attended First United Methodist Church of Shenandoah. She enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles, bird watching, her Koi pond, flowers, gardening, sewing and keeping up with all of her family and friends.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents Armon and Okie Johnson, sister Pauletta Doppelhammer, nephews Brian Kinney and Jeffrey McEnaney.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Dale Guill of Shenandoah, IA, son Tracy Guill of Willard, MO, daughter Lori (David) McCormack of Clever, MO, grandchildren Tara Guill of Kansas City, MO, Garrett Lee of Willard, MO, Bailee Dawn Guill of Branson, MO, and Dylan Lee McCormack of Clever, MO, great-granddaughter Harper Kay of Kansas City, MO, sisters Kay (Leon) McEnaney of Shenandoah, IA, Sue (Dave) Kinney of Shenandoah, IA, Rhonda Shane of Mayetta, KS, and Mary McAllister of Marianna, FL, brothers Ed (Pat) Johnson of Corning, IA and Emmit Johnson of Shenandoah, IA, step-brother Rodney Wilcoxson of Shenandoah, IA many nieces, nephews and friends. She lived her life for love of family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Shenandoah. Words of comfort were given by Pastor Ed Powers. Attending the memory register was Sheli Perrin. Ushers were Leon McEnaney and Eddie Johnson. Musical selections were the "Far, Far Side Banks Of The Jordan", "One Day At A Time" and Joyce Baldwin sang "Amazing Grace". Pianist was Terry Stafford. Casket bearers were Don Lambertz, Neil Doppelhammer, Mike Bain, Jay Johnson, Brian McEnaney and Austin Perrin. Honorary bearers were Garrett Guill, Dave McCormack, Brad McEnaney and Herman Johnson. Burial was in the Monroe Township Cemetery in Imogene. Memorials are being directed to the First United Methodist Church in Erma's name.
