Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Bredensteiner, daughter of George Leonard and Linnie Margaret Hull Kryselmier, was born June 1, l917, in Clarinda, Iowa and passed away July 5, 2010.
Beth was raised in Northboro, Iowa, and was graduated from Northboro High School, where she was an outstanding student and played on the girls' basketball team. At a time when many women did not attend college, Beth's parents nevertheless sent her to Tarkio College in Tarkio, Missouri. Following graduation from college, she taught business classes at Northboro High School. She married Karl Benjamin Bredensteiner on July 9, 1940, in Johnson, Nebraska. They made their home in Shenandoah.
Beth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women and served as Deacon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, and her parents.
Those who remember her with love and affection include her son Bob Bredensteiner and his wife Sue of Nashville, TN; her daughter Ann Stevens and husband Rawson of Shenandoah; four grandchildren, Kim Bredensteiner of Yelm, Washington; Lisa Bredensteiner of Nashville, TN; Erika Stevens and fianc Ben Jones of Athens, GA; and George Stevens of Fairbanks, AK; three sisters-in-law, Lois Bowen of West Chester, PA; Karen Moody of Nebraska City, NE; and Effie Bredensteiner of Farragut, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials are being directed to the Beth Bredensteiner Memorial Fund. Family requests no flowers please. Private family inurnment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
