Edward Dean LeeRoy Mutchler was born on June 12, 1950 in Shenandoah, Iowa, the son of Royal E. and Eva M. (Strange) Mutchler. Roy entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa following a brief illness.

Roy's early years were spent in the Shenandoah area. On August 8, 1998 he was united in marriage to Shirley A. Angusich at Pierce Creek just outside of Shenandoah. The couple enjoyed 11 years of marriage.

Roy was employed by Lake Nursery and later for Eaton Corporation. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Some of his hobbies included fishing, mushroom hunting, helping others, family get-togethers, and listening to the radio.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Shirley; daughter Debbie Terry and husband Jim; sons Roy Mutchler and wife Karen and Kevin Mutchler; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Dianna Mutchler and Linda Hilker and husband Marty; brother Alfred Mutchler and wife Tammy; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
