Erville Maurine "Ennie" Martin, daughter of Hayden and Hester (Jordan) Pierson, was born April 4, 1928 in Sidney, Iowa. Ennie passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah at the age of 86.

Ennie lived in Sidney, Iowa, until her family moved to Shenandoah at the age of 12. She lived in Shenandoah the rest of her life. She attended school in Sidney and Shenandoah and graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1946.

Ennie was united in marriage to Harold Martin on June 8, 1946 in Hiawatha, Kansas.

Ennie worked as a telephone operator and at Henry Field's. Her most important job was that of "devoted wife and mother."

Ennie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shenandoah. She loved country music, working crossword puzzles, reading, and sitting on her front porch. She watched squirrels, birds, jet trails and anxiously waited for anyone to sit awhile and visit.

Ennie was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 2006, her parents, sister Maxine and husband Neil McClanahan, brothers Verland Pierson and wife Judy and Keith Pierson and wife Florence.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kathy Weaver and husband Lynn of Papillion, NE, son Steve Martin and wife Karen of Omaha, NE, grandchildren Cole Weaver and wife Sarah of Chandler, AZ, Sadie Weaver of Omaha, NE and Sophie Weaver of Papillion, NE, Luke Martin and wife Amber of LeMars, IA, Seth Martin of Treynor, IA, Joshua Smithhisler, Melissa Smithhisler and Nathan Smithhisler all of Omaha, NE and 14 great-grandchildren.
