Obituary

Dwight Greever, son of Thompson H. and Goldie (Rouse) Greever, was born in Locust Grove Township on October 19, 1926 and passed away at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska on June 28, 2006 at the age of 79. Dwight was raised and educated in the Locust Grove area.
On May 16, 1944 Dwight was united in marriage to Betty M. Howes. To this union was born three daughters. Dwight and Betty spent their 62 years together in Shenandoah. They enjoyed spending time with their family, in the summer at Tablerock Lake and winters in Mesa, Arizona with friends.
During his young adult years Dwight worked in the surrounding area before being hired by the City of Shenandoah. He worked at the water plant 38 years during which he was promoted to Water Superintendent, holding that position until his retirement in 1988.
Dwight was a member and Deacon of the Community of Christ Church.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters: Hazel Gesy, Pauline Blaine, Margaret Howard, Mabel Dinsmore, Leota Herold and Ruth Hampton; and two brothers, Wayne and Thompson Greever.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; his children, Bev Hill of Lawrence, Kansas, Donna Munsinger and her husband Merril of Northboro, Iowa and Tammie Stettler and her husband Kevin of Shenandoah, Iowa; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sister, Ann Compton and sister-in-law, Marjory Greever; as well as many other relatives and friends.
