Doris Jean Cooper the daughter of John Mascher and Ellen Carlburg Mascher was born in Farragut, Iowa on July 8, 1926 , and entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 21, 2016, a the age of 90.
Doris spent her early years in Farragut, attending school their and graduating from Farragut High School where she played basketball and other school activities. Doris graduate with the Class of 1944.
She was united in marriage to Raymond "Bud" Cooper on August 10, 1947 in Sidney, Iowa, after their marriage they resided in Farragut, Iowa. When Bud entered the Air Force they resided in many places; Mercede California, Denver Colorado, Anchorage, Alaska (twice), Sioux Saint Marie, Michigan, Tucson Arizona and finally to Shenandoah , Iowa, where she would live the remainder of life. Doris was a member of the Farragut United Methodist Church After returning to Shenandoah she worked for the Shenandoah Schools helping with the school lunch program.
Doris loved to shop with her twin sister "DO". She loved babies any baby that she could hold and cuddly with. Most of all she loved her family and was proud of them all. She enjoyed camping traveling with Bud and having breakfast a "Dennys".
Doris was preceded in death by her parents John and Ellen Mascher, a brother Rich Mascher; sisters, Elaine Peters and twin sister Dorothy McIntyre.
Leaving behind to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Raymond "Bud" Cooper; son Michael Cooper of Denver, Colorado,; daughter, Deborah Wilson and husband Joel of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandson, Kyle and wife Teresa and Drew Wilson; great grandchildren, Cooper, Margaret, and Grace Wilson, all of Omaha, Nebraska; along with other relatives and friends. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her!
Celebration of life funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.
Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.
Burial will held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
